I was reading the July issue of Nintendo Power and came across the community section where they show this guy named Bill Mudron who has created two very good detailed maps for the the first 2 Legend of Zelda games on the NES, and the first 4 2-d Mario games (plus Mario RPG) on NES and SNES. Check them out for yourself at the link below. I’m not sure if you had ever seen these or not but they seem like a very good representation of both of the original games. I did notice that the Mario Map also has Peaches castle in a very Mario 64 like area.

It’d be better if they were cloth maps that had the data relevant to the game. I still have my old RPG roots. Nothing more immersive than sinking into a video game with a nice cloth map.
