On the Wii, WiiWare and VC games are displayed with a pic of the title screen. I hate it.
Why not allow us to insert whatever image we want to display for the game? I would copy over and put in the original game box art. Gradius’s title screen is boring. But its cartridge art is exciting and, I consider, a critical part of the experience.
In Super Mario All-Stars, you don’t select via title screens but through the box art. Since the Wii U has memory on it, I don’t see why we can’t just insert our own gifs or jpegs to display as icons for our games.
