Hello, I’m the same one who e-mailed you a while ago about NSMB2 and
about how many times SMB has been re-released.
I just saw some of the Nintendo Direct video for NSMB2′s DLC and,
well… if I wasn’t decided before about not getting it then I
definitely am now. It looks terrible.
The first pack seems to be designed to help the player along to get to
the goal of 1,000,000 coins much easier. I mean, coins are out in
force in those levels from what I saw, but seeing as it’s easy enough
to get in the range of 20,000 coins with the regular, *free* level
packs I don’t really see the point of shelling out the money to get
this.
Playing through the second pack’s levels will post high scores onto a
website. Fine enough, I guess. This might be the only one of the DLC
packs worth getting, but I probably won’t because it’d get old too
fast and the chance of me actually making it *onto* the website would
be horribly slim.
The third-pack will be “extra hard” levels. That would be fine if they
weren’t for COIN RUSH MODE where you have to *rush* through the levels
as fast as possible, and if they are “extra hard” then you wouldn’t
get as many coins as the other packs and since there are only three
levels, it wouldn’t take long before you mastered them.
Nintendo should have made a whole new world for the main game, as
*free* DLC for those who attained the goal of collecting 1,000,000
coins, and actually have the levels be really hard (think of New Super
Mario Bros. Wii’s World 9). But sadly that’s not likely to happen.
What we think of content and what Nintendo thinks of content are two different things. We want a new world that has NEW stuff in it. We don’t want a rom hack because we can get those online for free.
