Email: Nintendo hyping Nintendo Land

Apparently this is a game you got to play to be a believer that none of the previews do it justice

The games look horrible. During the 16-bit generation, if you had transported me to today from that time period, I would have committed suicide after watching that F-Zero video. What the hell? It feels like Nintendo’s quality levels are just collapsing.

IGN is paid to hype the game. They’re doing as well as they can with what they’ve got. What I found more interesting was the cover:

NOA wisely got rid of the sucking, whistling, blowing thing displayed below:

The box art, however, isn’t that good. It looks exactly like the cover-art of the ‘party games’ that plagued the Wii. The cover has ‘too much stuff’ on it. I think minimalism would help better. Make it look REFINED.

Game makers keep thinking their job is to make games. It isn’t. Their job is to overthrow dead culture. Wii Sports did that job. Nintendo Land won’t. Remember what if felt like when you first got a NES? Or a Wii? Gaming is much more than gaming.
