Microsoft seems very sensitive about people saying the avatar system was stolen from Nintendo’s Miis. In this story, apparently Don Mattrick says that *he* invented the avatar system long, long ago.
There is no shame is saying you want to take a good idea and make it better, to make it your own, to drive it to its full potential. But Microsoft going way out of its way saying they invented it insults our intelligence. It is like with the Sidewinder joystick and Microsoft claiming, “Forget the wii-mote! We invented motion controls!”
Microsoft comes across as extremely annoying. THIS is why their brand is in the toilet.
