Email: New Values beginning to take hold?

I found some interesting comments in this Kotaku post (http://kotaku.com/5265193/capcom-considering-more-wii-ports <http://kotaku.com/5265193/capcom-considering-more-wii-ports>) that nearly blew my mind. New generation values are taking over. Here are the comments:

“After playing the tar out of RE4 Wii, I tried to go back to the old control scheme on RE5 and just couldn’t deal with it. RE4 Wii controls were too perfect and RE5 controls just seemed so last gen by comparison (although it sure looked purdy).”

“I would love to play RE5 on the wii mostly because I liked the controls on the Wii version of RE4 more. I don’t mind downgraded graphics at all.”

“No interest in RE5 until it comes to Wii. Please Capcom? I’ve been spoiled by RE4 Wii controls. I can’t go back!”

“If they port RE5 to I will actually buy it, because it might not suck then. The Wii Controls were wonderful in RE4 and pretty much solved all the problems the controls still had in RE5 on PS3/360”

Oh my. It seems that many gamers prefer shooters that control well over nicer looking HD shooters that require waggle stick aiming. Too bad most third parties said there wasn’t a market for Wii shooters. Looks like most third parties don’t understand the concept of creating new markets – they only know how to run existing ones into the ground.

Focusing on graphics is so last-generation.

I couldn’t agree more.
