Before Super Mario Brothers, there was Montezuma’s Revenge.

Before there was such a thing known as ‘Metroid’ formula or Metroid, there was Montezuma’s Revenge.

This game was made by a 16-year old kid.

What are YOU doing? Yeah, I thought so. A 16 year old was making a better game in 1984 than you could do at an older age. Granted, he couldn’t thrive in the 3d era (many old school developers didn’t), but still a 16 year old made a better game than you will ever make.

People say you need a bazillion dollars or big staff to make a game. No you don’t. Use Montezuma’s Revenge as an inspiration.

If a 16 year old can do it, why can’t you?
