Why so defensive, Activision?

Have you ever witnessed a company so defensive? If the outcry of PC gamers is, as they say, no concern, then why is Activision so defensive about it? Why are we seeing propaganda articles being written about how “PC game customers need to humble themselves”? Why do we keep seeing that screen shot of that Steam ‘Modern Warfare 2’ protest group that shows them playing Modern Warfare 2 repeated over and over (which is not an accurate depiction. Such a group anyone can join and ignores the real protest groups).

In this ‘announcement’ of PC game sales (which may not even be true as the first Gamasutra commentator says), it appears the target is the investors and analysts. If the investors become convinced that Kotick is driving the company into the ground, they will get concerned fast.

Why so defensive, Activision?
