Both the kite and underwater sections look sooo bad, their only purpose is to slow you down!
Underwater looks so slugish, dunno why they wanted to add these kind of stuff, the game was more than fine without it
Also, all the stages shown have this stuff, it’s like a bad omen…
Let’s wait to judge this game entirely. Mario Kart has been consistently the strongest and most consistent of Nintendo franchises. The reason why Mario Kart has the most potential to move 3DS systems has nothing to do with 3d but everything to do with multiplayer. There are no multiplayer games on the 3DS… none worth mentioning at least.
But in the post below this one, I talk about how Nintendo is losing the context of Mario Kart. I remember seeing a preview of Red Alert 3 and immediately knowing the game would fail. Why? It showed base building on the water. It showed tanks swimming around in the water. That made no sense. If a tank can swim like a boat, it will no longer feel like a tank. Red Alert became popular because it used the rules of the World War 2 universe (and to those unfamiliar with Red Alert, do not groan. This World War 2 was an alternate universe of Soviets conquering Europe instead of Nazi Germany. Alternate History is something that really should be explored more often in gaming).
Mario Kart is about go-karts in the Mushroom Kingdom. It seems Nintendo is forgetting this.
