Back to School is a great movie

After posting clips from Back to School for some time, I figured I ought to go see the movie. Imagine my luck that it was available on Netflix (which I watch through my Wii. It is all I use my Wii for today. And my DS has become nothing more than a glorified alarm clock).

The snotty business professor actually is the villain in the entire movie. I was surprised by that. Here is the trailer.

Two characters reach a sort of change within themselves. The son starts off as a loser, as a towel boy, a C student, someone who is going to quit college and even ultimately rebels against his father. But he gets his head screwed on straight at the end and becomes ahead of everyone else. The main character, the old rich guy (Rodney Dangerfield), attempts to go through college by buying his way through it (paying a staff to do his homework for him). He eventually realizes he can learn all the college stuff and he should.

Here is what I liked about the movie. The movie advocates living life to fullest while simultaneously advocate studying and learning what you can while in college. As comedies go, it can become nonsensical, but you can see why you don’t want to grow up to become like the business professor… all snotty, icy, and not enjoying life.

I usually don’t enjoy most movies. But this one I found the time flew by while watching it. Such classic one liners!
