The Question No One Is Asking

If Apple has had an impact on the market of dedicated game consoles, why would Apple want to get into that market?

I thought Apple has destroyed the dedicated console market. That is what the press keeps telling us. Yet, we hear rumors that Apple wants to enter that market. How can they enter a market that they have already destroyed?

Apple Fanboys find themselves in a contradiction. The only way out is to come to the fact that Apple’s iPhone and iPad have not affected dedicated game consoles. Why? Malstrom provides an answer. It is because there is more than one type of gaming. PC gaming and Arcade gaming are different worlds with two different origins and do not cannibalize one another. With that being the case, an Apple console would only directly affect the PC gaming elements of the Microsoft and Sony consoles and could never directly compete with Nintendo.

I sincerely hope Apple comes out with a game console. It would cause the House of Cards called ‘Apple Fanboy Mansion’ all fall down.
