What I want from a Nintendo console is for Nintendo to move forward with hardware features that actually work. Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort used motion controls nearly flawlessly. Mario Kart Wii worked very well online. On-rails shooters worked very well with the pointer. The problem was the lack of forward trajectory with the hardware that worked. Your idea of a motion-controlled co-operative dungeon crawler would have been a perfect way to move forward with motion controls. The Wii could have made use of more involved shooting games and more games that integrated well online.
Basically, new hardware needs to create and fulfill as many new jobs as possible before the next console comes out. The new console, in turn, better have new jobs to fulfill that the previous console couldn’t.
More fuel for the idea fire.
