Alright, so I played through about 30 minutes of Diablo 3 before I got sick of everybody talking all the time. I considered turning off the voices, but then I’d still have a crappy story all around me. I decided instead to change the language settings to French, despite the fact that I’m not fluent (though I know some basic stuff from high school). The game became so much more colorful! The voice acting, all dialogue, the menus, even the text in the movies, is all in French. With my limited understanding, I get to make up in my head what everyone is talking about. I have to deduce the meaning behind item and ability descriptions and whatever my quest objectives are, which can be difficult, but it exercises my little grey cells so I enjoy it thoroughly. I only wish I had this luxury in more games, and maybe even some movies.
