Email: Nintendo’s Account System

‘m sure you’re going to get like 100 emails about this already, but he said “in the meantime”, meaning those are our options beforethe Wii U/3DS account system takes place. The options he listed are actually things you can do with the Wii right now, if I’m not mistaken. (They can transfer the Virtual Console channel to a new Wii if you ask them, but you’ll have to redownload the games again. I think you may need a Club Nintendo account but I’m not 100% sure).

I can’t blame you for taking it the way you did, though. I had to read it a couple of times before I realized it myself, as it gave me a similar scare. He threw around the word “account” too much, but it seems like he was just trying to find a word for what the current 3DS eShop is right now.It shows Nintendo has a considerable job to do when they explain the account system. I want to know what happens when a kitten knocks over the delicious chocolate milkshake I keep placing on my Nintendo console.

Let’s try this again.

Let’s say that say I live in Hawaii…

Above: Hawaii.

…and have my house near an active volcano.

I become surprised when lava begins running through the living room.

Above: Lava as it heads for the living room.

But oh dear! The Wii U was in the path of the volcano’s lava.

If I buy another Wii U, how do I get my games back on the system? Do I have to call someone? Do I have to send Nintendo a picture of molten lava running through my Wii U? What do I have to do when my hardware fails?

There are many questions about the account system. I hope Nintendo is prepared to answer them.
