It’s lengthy, but it was a fascinating read…

This review speaks for itself. If anything, after playing and beating
it, I might actually sell this game, though the flaws came through
about halfway through the game. Besides that, while I’m aware you had
trouble getting into Ocarina of Time, he at least points out why it
still holds up to this day as opposed to this game, which definitely
needed some more work. It had so many questionable design decisions
it was ridiculous (Using the Wii Remote to swim? Really?). Heck,
even though I couldn’t get into Zelda until Ocarina of Time, even I
went back to the older titles later just to see how far it’s come
since then. Not only that, but I’m sure you’ve noticed that since
Majora’s Mask, it’s gone into something known as the “Zelda Cycle”.
Here’s how it goes…
1. A new Zelda game comes out and people diss it
2. Years pass and another Zelda game comes out
3. People complain about the Zelda game coming out and talk about how
much better the first one was.
I feel that Aonuma’s involvement may have started the cycle. Whether
or not it’ll stay remains a mystery…
Zelda doesn’t sell anymore. It certainly doesn’t sell hardware. Why should Nintendo keep making it?
“Because Aonuma made a promise to his son about what he is going to do in the next Zelda…”
That is definitely a solid reason to spend millions to make another game!
