Email: About BrowserQuest

Hey Malstrom, quick mail:

What a great game! No tutorials, no bullshit. It took me five seconds to grasp that I had to point-and-click, rather than use WASD and keys to control the character, and off I went. One screen upward, and there’s a better sword. I was struggling with the enemies past the rats/goblins, but then I saw some guys had armor on… where could I get mine? Back to town, a chest inside a house was my answer. Equipped with leather, I powered on and kept going… going… ’till the final boss.

Was it half an hour? Forty minutes, one hour? I don’t know, and don’t really care. It’s a damn fun game, and the feeling of getting better equipment and steamrolling the enemies that were difficult in the beginning is just fantastic. A shame there’s the Foxy powerup right on the final boss room, makes that fight a tad too easy. The Spectres were kicking my ass at one point, though!

Where do I sign for BrowserQuest 2? Or will Nintendo do something about it and just release a proper Zelda?I certainly got more enjoyment out of BrowserQuest than I did from every Zelda released in the last ten years combined.
