Polaventris

Here is a youtuber I think readers might find interesting. His name is Polaventris. He plays games, often at reader requests, and does so for around five minutes at a time on actual hardware (no emulation). He is also very bad at games so sometimes his videos come across as hilarious. He must be Finnish or something but English isn’t his first language. His monotone just makes the funny stuff even funnier.

He has posted a TON of videos. There are lots of Commodore 64 videos. If you want some entertainment, watch a Commodore 64 game you haven’t heard of and laugh as he dies repeatedly or you see how badly designed the game is.

One interesting thing about him is that despite being an experienced gamer, he has never played Super Mario Brothers. He makes videos showing the very first time of him playing Super Mario Brothers, and it brought back memories of the first time I played the game.

From his channel, I learn about games I’ve never heard of or played. But for some reason, the guy keeps making me laugh (maybe because he isn’t trying to). It’s like when you watch a friend play the game and can’t stop laughing at what he does.
