Email: Bad news for “Social” Games

I put “Social” in quotes because this refers to social network and free-to-play games, not any game that actually involves being social (like Wii Sports, Mario Party, or Just Dance).
Anyway, this stat shows that being free does hurt the value, and basically makes the bare bones games glorified demos… which don’t do a good job at selling the games.The bubble is definitely going to pop on this.

Maybe game makers should be spending less time on ‘miracle business models’ and more on making high quality games.
