I’ll buy a wii U when it’s priced at $99
if you’re gonna have a gamecube library with gamecube sales, then you better have a gamecube price tag
Have you noticed that the mainstream gaming press is calling the Wii U a second Gamecube now? Of course, you were reading it here years ago.
Gamecube-esque games create Gamecube-esque sales. What is so hard to understand with this? More 3d Mario, Aonuma Zelda (let alone Wind Waker!), and Pikmin are not the answer. If no one bought the Gamecube to play Pikmin 1 or 2, then why is Nintendo wasting so much money and time to make Pikmin 3 which no one will buy?
Wii U is a Gamecube with GBA connectivity. That is what it is. Wii U’s philosophy is nothing more than crappy Gamecube connectivity. It didn’t work in 2003, but Nintendo wanted to do it again ‘to insist it will work’ just like 3d had to be tried again with the 3DS.
Nintendo does not want to declare 3d a failure or Gamecube connectivity a failure.
Has there been any Nintendo failure of the past that became a success later on? I can’t think of any. So why do they keep repeating the same old failed ideas?
If Nintendo failed with new ideas, they would still be interesting. But Nintendo is recycling failed ideas and sequels to failed games (such as Wind Waker or the Pikmin franchise) then everyone wonders why Nintendo console implodes. “It’s the tablets!” “It’s the competition!” “It’s the marketing!” Maybe it is the games.
