Wii U is a system with without anything to offer right now except headaches. It has no life and no pulse. Last night my friend and I tried to play it and use some of the features such as Wii Street U.
Correct me if I am wrong, but shouldn’t game consoles be intuitive and easy to use? By the end of the night we were both just frustrated and exhausted. Here is a sample of what we were saying.
Why is it taking so long to load and install Wii U Street?
Wii U Street is really slow.
What is all this bullshit on the dashboard? It’s just useless clutter.
I don’t care about Miiverse.
Why is it still loading?
I just want to try Ninja Gaiden 3, why do I have to sit through this system update?
(at ZombiU while it is going “bleep bleep bleep, look down at your backpack”) I am looking down at my goddamn backpack! Why do I need to hold the controller vertically and face the damn TV screen again?
(at NSMB Wii U) It’s way too busy, there is too much bs going on with the boost mode and multiplayer. I can’t get into any kind of rhythm.
I am not buying it until they come out with some great games. Where are the games?
People will probably accuse me of being some viral marketing troll, but I am telling you, right now the Wii U is no fun, is a pain in the ass to use, and it leaves me feeling cold, dejected, and exhausted whenever I turn it on. Anybody that is telling themselves it is fun is being a delusional fanboy right now. If a Nintendo system is causing me problems, it is in some seriously deep shit, because my whole entire life has revolved around Nintendo for years and I have always loved them.
I did have fun playing F Zero on the gamepad yesterday for a little while there though…
Silly reader! You think consoles are for games! No, you buy the Nintendo console to experience Nintendo Culture. That is what Nintendo thinks is the ‘value’ of their products. As their sales go into the gutter, they will think that it is so sophisticated that people didn’t “understand it” and Nintendo Culture needs to be made more accessible. I bet that will be their response.
