Email: Shiggy blaming the marketing again!! LOL

Can you talk specifically about how you’re going to go about do that? How you’re going to go about conveying that message more clearly to consumers.

[laughs]. Ask these guys [points to public relations and marketing executives sitting in the room].

I think the key thing is to give more people more opportunity to come in contact with the system and play it. One of the things in Japan that we had been doing, is we had been careful because we wanted to make sure people understood it properly. We had been giving as many opportunities for people to try it out at demo units, at retail, or ensuring that there was somebody there to demonstrate and make sure that they were getting a proper understanding. But I think what we’re finding now is we really just need to get as many people as possible to get their hands on the system so that they can see how fun it is.

It’s quite a tidy arrangement Miyamoto has going. When something doesn’t sell, it is the marketers who are to be blamed. When something does sell, it is due to Miyamoto’s genius. Doesn’t this guy take responsibility for anything!?

I love how so much of the interview talks about ‘Miyamoto’s creativity’ as if Miyamoto is relevant. What about the cust0mers? What is important is not Miyamoto’s satisfaction but the customers’ satisfaction.

Like in Gamecube days, they act like there is a fanbase for Pikmin and Luigi’s Mansion. And Miyamoto keeps telling us that he can ‘only make new things’ while he churns out sequels for Pikmin, Luigi’s Mansion, More 3d Mario, and so on.

When was the last time Miyamoto made a game anyone cared about? Aside from Wii Sports and Wii Fit, there hasn’t been anything. Pikmin has been a bust. 3d Mario has never taken off. Zelda is joke now.

As for me, I believe Miyamoto retired back during the 16-bit generation when he was allowed to do whatever he wanted.

If Miyamoto believes what he is saying, Nintendo is going to be in a world of hurt not just this generation but next generation as well. There is no way to getting through their arrogance.
