Nintendo sent out a bulletin message for the Wii, letting owners know that the WiiU is a new system, not just a new controller.
Are owners really that confused, or do they just not care about the new system as it is?

Every NES owner knew what the Super NES was. I remember Iwata having to photograph himself holding the Wii U console after E3 2011 because no one thought a new console was presented!
Why Nintendo stayed with the Wii U branding has to be traced to someone in the council. Only someone that high up can force through the product from all the negativity since the original E3 unveiling.
