They recognize this is a titanic power grab for the Game Industry. This is the entertainment industry. What is with all this draconian nonsense?
Xbox One is designed to be fun for the Game Industry, not fun for gamers. If anyone wonders, “How in the hell did no one see through this?” just ask who is having fun here. The Xbox One is so much fun for the Game Industry that they didn’t even think of it in terms of the gamer perspective. It is not entirely unlike Nintendo developers having so much fun with 3d hardware that they lost track of what is fun for actual gamers.
The hits on my website are through the roof today. I think the reason why is that people want to know what the reaction is from a passionate Wii consumer to Xbox One. It is the question of, “Is this a hardcore complaint with the Xbox One? Is the hardcore just complaining too much?”
No, this isn’t a hardcore issue. This is a gaming issue. Xbox One is hostile to what we know and love about gaming. People may not like games like Wii Sports or Wii Fit, however, they were video games. All the movies and music has nothing to do with games.
Xbox One isn’t going to interest the Wii consumers because the Wii consumers never wanted a media box. They’re just gamers of a different sort. The Wii consumers want to play games, it was that everyone ceased making games for them. If gaming started with simple multiplayer games like PONG, why is gaming only defined today as Call of Duty?
I can’t see why any Wii consumer would like Xbox One. Also consider that the Wii consumers REJECTED the ‘all-in-one’ media box of the PS3 and Xbox 360. So why would they want Xbox One?
“But what about the Call of Duty crowd, Malstrom?”
What do they have to look forward to? Next Generation has gone to the dogs.
