He’s the lead architect of Playstation 4, basically taking over the role Ken Kutargi had for PS1, 2, and 3. He also was the designer of Marble Madness and worked on Sonic 2 (he also worked on a bunch of later games you’ve never played). Interesting snippet from his Wiki

He seems like a guy who doesn’t hate gamers or customers. The PS4 seems like a pretty conservative, “red ocean” console right now, but given how batshit insane MS and Nintendo are acting, maybe they’ll “win” next-gen’s shrinking, depression-driven market by default.I think the overly optimism of the PS4 is overlooking what occurred with the Vita. The PSP was a harbinger of what occurred with the PS3, the Vita very well might be the same for the PS4.
