All that’s left is to wait for E3…

Gamers are frustrated because they don’t whether their medium will die or not at E3. Will Microsoft go through with the Xbone’s policies? (yes, they will) Will Sony emulate Xbone’s policies? (yes, they will) And what games will be shown off?

There is so much verbal diarrhea on the gaming message forums now that gamers are talking in circles wondering about the answers to the above questions. Unlike prior generations, there is not an anticipation of excitement but anticipation of dread. People seem nervous.

When E3 comes out in a couple of weeks (or is it next week?), I won’t be around to talk about it much. I’ll be learning from petroleum engineers trying to generate the energy we need so the hardcore gamers can keep playing his video games.

After seeing the Xbone Reveal, I really don’t want to watch anything else live. Yuck.

I’m not really excited about Nintendo talking about Pikmin 3, 3d Mario, Mario Kart U, or Yoshi Yarn.

Sony talking about playing Diablo 3 on the PS3 isn’t very interesting.

I don’t think the Game Industry has the talent to produce quality games today. Everyone is obsessed at making games that lead to ‘new revenue streams’ from MMO type games to DLC. It seems like no one is interested in making games. What they make are game flavored business models where we get played.

Do you REALLY think Microsoft intended the Xbone reveal to have the backlash it did? They probably thought it was hot stuff. Do you REALLY think Microsoft thought Windows 8 would bomb like it did?

So why do people assume Microsoft’s game reveal is going to be ‘stellar’? When was the last time Microsoft wowed people at an E3?

I think Microsoft is in another world altogether. I am amazed at these game companies. They never re-unite with reality until after months of bad sales numbers. Anyone expecting any change in Microsoft’s arrogance will have to wait until months of bad Xbone sales. Look how long it took for Nintendo’s arrogance to change with the Wii U or the 3DS?
