Everything you see has an investor behind it

Take a look at this. It is a Reddit thread where a guy shows off his apartment. People ask what he does for a living. His answer was plastics. He invented the paper towel dispenser and another company bought it (where it is now everywhere).

The point is that everything you see has an investor behind it. Someone invested to make the toilet you are pooping in. Someone invested in the mirrors you use that are on your car. Someone invested in the bricks that make up our buildings.

People tend to think of investors as investing in consumer goods as in something you buy off a shelf. But consider the things you never buy off a shelf. Consider the things that are invisible in your day to day concerns. That is where the money is at.
