Nintendo surprises me with how disastrous their poor decisions have become. They want to bundle Wii U with Wind Waker which is an unpopular, poorly selling Zelda on the Gamecube.
So why is Nintendo doing this? I think we all know why.
If Nintendo was interested in selling Wii Us, they would bundle the console with NSMB U. It fits tradition in North America where Mario was bundled with the hardware. NSMB U also has a very high attach rate to the Wii U which means people are buying the hardware to get to that game. Bundling in NSMB U is like a price drop without a price drop. When Nintendo bundled NSMB Wii with the Wii, they sold out of Wiis. So why bundle an OLD game especially one that the market doesn’t like such as Wind Waker?
I can rant about what this indicates, but it shows that Nintendo is intentionally pushing Wind Waker. Why? Why push a Gamecube game?
You have to chuckle at how Nintendo is STILL smarting from the market doing a total dissing of Wind Waker during the Gamecube days. In other news, expect Metroid Other M HD Remake to be bundled with the Wii Z in the year 2025.
