Clearly, this is a failure of marketing. After all, the Wind Waker art style is said to be very Japanese friendly and the Gaming Message Forums keep raving about Wind Waker. Whatever it is, we know it is NOT a failure of The Blessed Aonuma and The Incredible Zelda Team.
I bet Iwata is planning to re-re-release Wind Waker in 2023 on the True 3D Nintendo Console so that ‘people get a chance to appreciate it who missed it on Gamecube and Wii-U’. It’s not like people are REJECTING Wind Waker. No way! The market, God bless them, just doesn’t understand the great value that Wind Waker has. Therefore, Nintendo must MAKE the market understand Wind Waker’s value.
Expect another re-release in a generation.
