Iwata Asks Wii Sports Club

Aside from 2d Mario, this is the only other Nintendo game that I would want to buy. Wii Sports Club looks like fun.

Too bad the game is a mess. It is download only on a system with no account system. You can buy a sport alone for $9.99. I think Nintendo missed the point of how Wii Sports felt like a Mega Man of sports that you felt you had ‘ton of value’ with all the sports to choose from. Offering them separate will destroy that feeling.

What is with charging people a day pass to play with someone in multiplayer? Why not adopt the spawning rule used by Warcraft 2 or Nintendo’s own spawning with the DS multiplayer games? One game copy gets to spawn a multiplayer only mode (that plays only with that game copy). This would spread the game much faster. People would want to buy the full version.

Multiplayer games need to be treated equally for local and online. Just as two people can play local multiplayer with one copy of the game, the same should be true for online (however, only with that one person). I guarantee you that sales would increase. You can’t monetize someone’s multiplayer experience like the ‘day pass’ Nintendo is doing. Fools!
