When Breaking Bad ended, I needed something else to watch. For some reason, my nephews kept watching a show called ‘Big Bang Theory’ so I decided to take a look. The show is like a combination of Friends and Star Trek V. It is a trainwreck of camp which probably is why women enjoy watching the show. The show is about some scientist super-nerds and a hot girl that lives down the hall (though I don’t think she is that hot). Eventually, they add some more girls to the show and it becomes nerd-fried Friends. The star of the show is clearly the Sheldon character which is as memorable as Steve Urkel. Sheldon is a very condescending smart person with child issues.

The show is dumb, yet it is entertaining for some reason. To give some examples I laughed at: Sheldon’s strange hatred towards Babylon 5 even going so far to write TNT to cancel the show (WTF? hahaha). When Sheldon’s girlfriend wants to advance the relationship, she tries to trick Sheldon’s brain by tapping pleasure centers of his brain (she is a neuro-scientist). So for ‘romantic music’ for dinner, she plays the theme song from the original Super Mario Brothers. These are jokes I would write. I am now kicking myself because I could have made a fortune on writing a TV show that made fun of hardcore gamers. These nerds also take routine trips to The Comic Book Store when they’re not playing board games all day.

You can tell the show has a large female audience as the writing in the later seasons is geared toward women. In the show, the nerd men all want to get married and the women are reluctant (hahahahaha, you know THAT is FANTASY FICTION there!). The women are presented as brilliant in their occupations (even Penny is depicted as super competent at the Cheesecake Factory). The nerd men are depicted as bumbling fools at their professions. In the real world, a successful award winning scientist like Leonard would see Penny as a slutty bimbo as he gets a truly cultured hot babe from overseas. I see that happen all the time. As for the other ‘scientists’, they would probably do the same and wouldn’t settle for the ugly girls on the show. This is how I know the audience of the show has a huge female population… that and the commercials talking about feminine hygiene products.
Oh no! A silly sitcom TV show that regularly has the nerds playing Wii Sports, Mario Kart Wii (with the wheel!), and Halo is an outrage because these nerds aren’t playing the ‘hardcore games’. I love you, hardcore! I truly can’t make your stuff up. Read and see.
