What is going to change in the Xbox Division for the next twenty years?

Washington Post says, “Investors want Microsoft to kill Surface, Bing, and Xbox.

The new CEO seems to be an extension of Gates and Ballmer so I doubt he would kill the Xbox. However, it is important to note how public investors are about this. The investors are talking to the Washington Post and airing the dirty laundry out in public.

Is there anything going to change in the Xbox division within the next twenty years? That is about four generations. How is the Xbox ever going to be profitable when costs keep going up as well as deflation setting in? How is the Xbox ever going to achieve mass sales when it cannot sell to non-English speaking countries? We know that this generation that the Xbox One will not be the worldwide best seller.

What is going to happen is that the discontent of the investors will only grow over the years. It is inevitable that Microsoft will have to pull the plug on the Xbox Division. It is merely a question of ‘when’. I can’t see how any console company can stay in this business if it can only sell in North America and the UK.
