Hyrule Warriors is a massive game. I finally finished the Legends mode (campaign mode), and it took me around 25 hours (!). I haven’t even touched the higher difficulties (Hard, Hero) in Legends mode, let alone find all the heart containers, pieces of heart containers, and skulltulas.
Then there is the Challenge mode.
Then there is the Adventure mode.
Then there is the DLC.
Yeah, this game has some hefty content to it. It is definitely a reason to own the Wii U, or at least get it on the 3DS (but yuck to that portable display). Excepting Breath of the Wild, Hyrule Warriors is the best Zelda game since Ocarina of Time.
“But the game is janky, and it is not a serious game.”
Oh no! Not a serious game! I like the rock and roll vibe it has going. The game reminds me of the 80s and 90s games with it. The jank I don’t mind. The camera issues I do. Once I start playing this game, it is hard to stop. It also has me keep coming back to it.
I’m finally going to take it out of my Wii U, and play other games. I will return to it.
Damn massive game… It offers co-op experience too which is nice. It’s the first ‘must-buy’ Wii U game I’ve found.
