Electric vehicles were disrupted by gas guzzling cars a hundred years ago

People assume we transitioned from horse and buggy to the gas automobile. This isn’t true. We went from horse and buggy to electric cars. And what disrupted electric cars? The gas automobile. The ‘crappy product for a crappy customer’, gas automobiles, got better and better and destroyed the market for electric cars.
